... Creating an Environment Conducive for Peace

Nature, ironically, seems the author of conflict being the theatre of opposites, but interestingly, it presents a picture of a master strategist in the business of harmonization of opposites too. Conflict is inevitable and yet it has not prevented nature from forging ahead.

What is instructive is that conflict does not inherently and necessarily impede progress; whatever becomes of it depends on how it is handled. Nature has its internal mechanism for resolving and managing conflict; it survives through the harmonious combination of conflicting resources. For instance, electricity is generated by combining negative and positive forces, so also is the human race; it takes the harmonious combination of two opposite sexes, the male and female for a child to be produced..

Ultimately, for society to move forward, conflicting views need to be articulately ventilated and synthesized. Here lies the importance of conflict resolution as a tool for social development and harmony. The challenge with society as a matter of fact is not the presence of conflict, but that of the lack of the wherewithal to handle it. Hence the emergence of Peace Enlightenment and Advocacy Foundation (Peafound) on August 16, 2021 with Registration Number 163576. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation through a variety of programs and initiatives. Our mission is to foster dialogue, understanding, and cooperation between individuals, communities, and nations in conflict. We believe that peace is possible when people come together, listen to one another, and work towards a common goal. Our team of experts, including mediators, conflict resolution specialists, and community organizers, is dedicated to making a difference in the world.

We operate on the principle that peace is not just the absence of violence, but the active presence of justice, understanding, and compassion. Through our programs and initiatives, we work to build bridges between individuals, communities, and nations in conflict, and to foster a culture of peace. At PEAFOUND, we believe that everyone has a role to play in promoting peace and reconciliation. Grass root teaching of the significance of peaceful co-existence, engagement in dispute resolution, and peace building via peaceful mechanisms (ADR).

Objective

To safeguard lives and properties, enhance growth and development through the reduction of violent conflicts in our societies.

Our core values, our precepts

Peace Enlightenment and Advocacy Foundation (PEAFOUND) have five (5) core values that dictates and define what we stand for. These include:

  •   PEACE: Peace is fundamental to life and business. “Peace is life”

  •     RELATIONSHIP: Relationship exists before the emergence of conflicts. Our interest is the protection of relationship.

  •   RESOLUTION: Mutual resolution gives enduring peace.

  •   INTEGRITY: Trust thrives on integrity. This is critical to mediation.

  •     LIFE: The sanctity of human life should not for any reasons be compromised. Life is an inspiration to us.
